A review of Fairclose Day Centre by Anonymous written on Monday 28th of November 2011
My friend goes to Fairclose and she has told me that you can buy a book for 50p. Jigsaw puzzles also cost 50p, but CDs cost 10p. This conversation was triggered by the work we do at a local charity shop. My friend does the till on a Saturday morning and I help out the back, but more recently I have been chatting to my friend. She is dissatisfied with the high prices for books, jigsaw puzzles and CDs that our particular shop charges, and she told me that at Fair Close they cost 50p. Apparently they also do roast lunches, roast beef, roast pork, roast chicken and so on and so fourth. She really enjoys going and it prevents her from being socially isolated, an issue common among many older people..
